The KDC Connections website is owned and administered by Knowsley Disability Concern (KDC). The website is designed to help Personal Assistants (PAs) to find jobs and Employers to find PAs. It provides details of PAs looking for work and information from employers about vacancies.

In order to use the facilities of the website, you need to register your name and email address.  Once registered, you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions below.

 

For PAs:

  • Your name and information about your preferred methods of contact will only be visible to registered users of the site and will only be used by Employers to contact you regarding your suitability for their vacancy.
  • By agreeing to appear on KDC Connections you are agreeing that your details will be available to all registered users. 
  • KDC does not take any responsibility for vetting the suitability of Employers or their practices and you should ensure that you undertake your own checks where appropriate.
  • As a PA you should ensure that your Employer provides you with a Contract of Employment setting out your terms and conditions which you both should sign. We also strongly recommend that you should request a Job Description setting out the main duties of your role.

For Employers:

  • Your name and information about your preferred methods of contact will only be visible to registered users of the site and will only be used by PAs to contact you regarding your vacancy.
  • The information on PAs will only to be used for your own purposes and relevant to finding a PA.
  • You will not divulge personal details of PAs to any other sources.
  • You will not contact the PA’s referees until you have made a firm job offer to that PA and they have given you permission to do so.
  • KDC does not take any responsibility for vetting the suitability of PAs or their qualifications and you should ensure that you undertake your own checks and take up references in all instances.
  • As an Employer you should ensure that you provide your PA with a Contract of Employment setting out the terms and conditions which you both should sign. We also strongly recommend that you should provide a Job Description setting out the main duties of your PAs role.
  • We recommend that you undertake Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Checks on anyone you plan to employ before they start working for you.

General:

  • KDC reserves the right to remove any user who uses this website, including the information made available through this website, inappropriately.
  • KDC reserves the right to refuse to publish details posted by users.
