KDC has an agreement with Knowsley Council which allows all personal assistants employed under the direct payments scheme in Knowsley/carers/family members  to access a range of learning and development workshops.  

Courses include: –

  • First Aid and Life Support
  • Fire Safety
  • Lifting and Carrying of People and loads
  • Infection Control and Prevention
  • Health & Safety
  • Medicines Management for PAs (2hr session)
  • Food for Life (1 day course)

PA’s who work outside Knowsley may be able to attend training offered but would be expected to pay the full cost of the course (up front), currently £60 per day / £30 per half day
