Additional Information

 

 

We are seeking an experienced support worker for young man in the Huyton area of the city.

The young man is a wheelchair user, with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

He requires a reliable and experienced support worker 8am – 9am, 4pm-5pm Mon-Fri, to await school transport in the absence of his parent. Support will be extended one evening a week to accommodate the parent taking a younger sibling to football practise. You will also be required to support 5 hours of a Saturday, to accompany the young man to a support group at Claire’s House.

Knowledge of the condition is not mandatory for this role as full training can be provided. It is important that you are a friendly and sociable person with a genuine interest in supporting a disabled young adult and will maintain his safety.

He is a charming young adult with a great sense of humour who is fun to be around.

5 hours Saturdays
