Job Description

We are seeking female carers for an elderly lady with progressed dementia, in the Kirkby area.

The lady is a very happy, content and settled person that requires assistance with all of Day to Day care needs from nutrition and fluids to give medications, assisting an external company for personal care who provide  washes, showers and dressing on morning calls and another three calls throughout the Day for pad changes and night time bed call to assist with positioning to ensure the lady is comfortable in bed to sleep.

Carers are required to give lady breakfast morning medications and fluids.

Lunch and fluids and any medications required.

Dinner, fluids and bed time medications.

In between these times will assist another care company with hoisting and positioning while other care company carry out personal care.

The lady is non mobile so her home is fully adapted to suit all of her care needs including ceiling tract hoist and pressure relief chair and pressure relief turn bed.

Personal assistants will assist with hoisting and positioning alongside another carer during pad changes.

There are currently three Personal assistants that have been employed within the ladies care team for a long time.

We are currently looking for another caring, enthusiastic and compassionate Personal assistant to join the Team to not only suit all the lady’s physical needs but emotional needs too keeping her company engaging and interacting with her throughout the Day.

Hours required:

8am until 8pm Thursday Day.
8am until 4pm Friday Day.

Looking for Two personal assistants to cover the following hours also help with cover of sickness and holidays if required. Ideally flexible.
