Female Support Worker

We are seeking an experienced support worker to support a young lady, with cerebral palsy, in the Kirkby area of the city.

The lady is a non-verbal wheelchair user who is unable to perform any tasks independently, we are therefore seeking someone who is willing to engage and learn the communication strategies she uses, and who is comfortable providing toileting care.

You will be supporting the lady to access the community.  (She has an adapted vehicle which can be accessed if you have a clean driving license.)  She is very happy-go-lucky and likes to visit the local shops to have lunch and people watch.  She also loves to be in and around water, so someone who is in confident in accessing the local pool, would be ideal.

The ideal candidates will be experienced in supporting a physically disabled person and be confident and experienced in providing personal care.

You will need to be reliable and compassionate with a sociable personality and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for a young disabled adult.

Thurs-Sat 5 hours per day.
