We are currently seeking experienced Support Workers, to provide 2:1 support for an autistic young man in Huyton.

The young man is non verbal and requires a whole communication approach.

Training will be given to help you learn his communication device – this will develop and enhance existing skills . The young man uses ( language acquisition motor programming) LAMP.

This Support, is to enable and empower the young man to access the community and enjoy the leisure activities it has to offer, whilst increasing his engagement in the community.

One of activities he enjoys is swimming which is a required activity.

Other activities he enjoys include trampolines, walks , eating out , going for drives,,, travelling on trains .

For this role you will need to be experienced in supporting/caring for people who will require support/care and guidance around challenging behaviour.

Also have the willingness to learn how best to support the person and work as a team.

The role also requires you to be genuine , reliable, honest, caring, friendly and patient and a good sense of humour and enjoy having fun.

Essentials – hold a driving licence and access to vehicle . Petrol allowance is paid.

NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care. Or similar qualification or work experience in this field .

Additional training can be arranged when required.

The care and support is provided on a 2:1 basis.  Days and times can be flexible and will be discussed at Interview.
