Job Description
We are seeking a Carer / Support Worker to support a female to live independently in her own home.
The successful candidate will need to be pro-active, able to use own initiative and have prior experience of mental health issues, either through a family connection or professional capacity. The applicant should be well-mannered, caring, friendly and patient.
Job Description
Monday to Sunday 1 hour to start between 10.30 -11am
� To assist with bathing , providing help if required
� Support to prepare own breakfast and hot drink , helping with prompts and reassurance in using equipment
� Support to prepare a simple sandwich that can be stored until lunchtime
� Monitor and prompt administration of medication
� Demonstrate how , assist and encourage to fold / hang / put away dry clean clothes
Monday 1.30pm � 3.30pm
� Provide support with meal planning , shopping list , assisting with shopping via public transport / taxi and prompts in putting shopping way on return home
Tuesdays & Fridays 1.30pm for 30 minutes
� Support in sorting out laundry , using washing machine
� Support with ad-hoc household chores
Thursday 1.30pm for an hour
� To assist in maintenance and hygiene of the house for example hoovering / brushing / mopping , cleaning bathroom , general cleaning of kitchen
Monday to Sunday 1 hour to start between 4.30pm � 5.30pm
� To provide support in planning, preparing and cooking an evening meal.
� Provide support in cleaning up kitchen and equipment used
� Support to put out an clothes from washing machine onto radiators and/or maiden
These hours may be subject to flexibility and can be discussed at interview.
